The Past
Before I stepped into the world of user experience, I was a licensed professional counselor. I helped many people, young and old, through some of the hardest moments in their lives. However, I also saw that those same people struggled to access the help they needed through the frustrating and outdated systems in place. I knew then that I could help people through improved service design.
Listening to countless people tell their stories and trying to uncover their pain points has honed my ability to ask questions to get the answers I need. I am able to take a whole story and synthesize insights into unique solutions for each person. My background in academic research also helps in this endeavor.
The Now
I recently finished my Master's in Interaction Design (concentration in UX Research) from UNT. Through my education, I learned to bridge mental health, user advocacy, and technology. I am also applying my knowledge of behavioral science to improve user experiences through research and strategy - prioritizing emotional insight, accessibility, and human connection with my work. This summer, I interned for Amazon, gaining Fortune 500 experience in UX strategy and research and am currently available for full-time positions!
